During the next two weeks, to give you time to complete your first two color wheels, I will post a variety of sample sketches based on Lesson One and Lesson Two.

Plein Air painting, Color Wheel Two

Early morning view from my front porch.  To blind myself to the colors in front of me and paint only thinking of value continues to be a challenge, but one well worth accepting.  The exercise might be easier using acrylic paint so that less mixing of pigment occurs on the canvas.  It is difficult in oil to apply a fresh touch of light yellow over a dark area for an accent of light hitting a branch.
